Deerfield Teams Advance, Gruhl One Win Away

TIFTON, GA -- The Deerfield Windsor basketball team entered Friday’s GISA AAA-Region 2 tournament two wins away from a title.

Knights Boys Basketball Coach Gordy Gruhl is working double duty this weekend. Coach Gruhl had the chance to win another region championship and earn his 1,000th career victory.

All goals are still in sight for the Knights.

The Deerfield boys fought off Westfield for a 60-44 win Friday on Tifton’s ABAC campus. The Knights face local rival Sherwood Christian for the region title Saturday at 6:30 PM.

The Deerfield girls defeated Tiftarea for the third time this season to clinch a berth in the final. The Lady Knights tip off against Westfield at 5 PM.
