ALBANY, GA -- Albany Tech's basketball leader Bianca Fennessee earned Region 17 Player of the Week for Jan. 15-21.

Deservedly so, the sophomore came up huge for the Lady Titans averaging 21 points and 18 rebounds in the two games. The team would need her to stand tall again.

On Wednesday, the Lady Titans hosted the region's best in the South Georgia Tech Jets. It was a closely-contested six point game at the half. Then, South Georgia Tech took off.

The Jets outscored Albany Tech 40-19 in the final twenty minutes for 72-45 victory. Samantha Phillips pitched in five three-pointers as the Jets shot 55% from behind the arc.

“That second half was unbelievable. The kids just get a lot of credit- they made plays, made shots. It wasn't anything we did...they just made shots, and I hope we can keep that rolling,” Harrell said.

Likewise, the South Georgia Tech men’s team held the Titans to 19 points in the second. The Jets finished off the sweep with a 56-47 win. Terrance Noel led the Titans with 14 points. Sophomore Jamorris Gaines threw in 13 in the loss.
