ALBANY, GA -- For middle school basketball, Merry Acres is the place to be.
In the Dougherty County Middle School Championships, Merry Acres swept through the competition over at Westover earning the boys and girls local titles.
The Merry Acres boys rolled over Albany Middle 64-36. While it was a bit closer in the girls game between Radium Springs and the Braves.
It was a five point lead for Merry Acres when LaKrista Walker hit a three pointer to put the game out of reach. Merry Acres held on in the final minutes winning 34-26.
