ALBANY, GA -- The Darton College women's basketball team and first-year head coach Lea Henry have rolled in their first two games of the 2011 season. On Saturday, the Cavaliers aiming at a 3-0 start, didn’t even blink at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
Darton College moved the ball well on offense, and played an aggressive defense for an 87-47 win over CVCC.
“Our defense, we just get after people...we're putting a lot of pressure on the ball. Today, we really trapped the ball a lot and we haven't been doing that. But I thought we put something in this week where we had a lot of traps in the half court and it really broke the game open for us,” Coach Henry said.
Darton will shoot at 4-0 this Friday against Tuscaloosa’s Shelton State.
