ALBANY, GA -- Worth County football needed a win to stay alive in the AAA-Region one playoff picture. The Rams (4-5, 2-3) had their opportunity against the Dougherty Trojans with one win all season.

All Worth County needed was its running game. Senior tailback Ellis Anderson led the Rams to a 43-13 win over Dougherty at Hugh Mills Stadium on Thursday night.

Three first quarter possessions, three Rams touchdowns. Anderson was able to run through the Dougherty defense at will, and the Trojans offense may have been worse.

The offensive line couldn’t give Trojans quarterback Willie Jones any time in the pocket. Jones was continuously sacked in the first half.

Both teams are down to their final regular season games next week. Dougherty will complete their year against monroe. Worth County hosts Crisp County in a must-win for the Rams.
