ALBANY, GA -- Life for the football teams in AA-Region One doesn't offer up many breaks. So the Albany Indians used last week's bye to rest and prepare for the daunting remainder of the regular season.

Friday’s game at Brooks County is the first of a critical three game stretch for the Indians. Currently, Albany (1-2, 4-3) is one spot outside of the playoffs, but the Indians have the opportunity to change their postseason plans with top region teams ahead on the schedule.

After traveling to Quitman this week, Albany hosts Early County (1-2, 3-4) before closing the season with the defending region champion Cook Hornets (1-2, 4-3) in Adel.

Third-year head coach Felton Williams has emphasized to his team the importance of these final three games.

“We needed that week off for preparation to get prepared for Brooks, Early and Cook in that order. I didn't set the schedule up that way, but I'm glad it fell that way because we're going to need everyday we can get. Motivation is the tip of the iceberg- we have to win these last three to get in,” Williams said.
