ALPHARETTA, GA -- It’s guaranteed one local American Legion baseball team will be the Georgia Junior State champion on Monday in Alpharetta.

Albany Post 30 defeated Buford for a second straight day to set up a championship series with Leesburg’s Post 182. Post 30’s 12-1 victory on Sunday placed the Albany team in the title match-up.

Post 182 holds an advantage over Post 30 after winning all of its tournament games. The two teams already played once this weekend with Post 182 winning 12-1. The Albany group will have to win two games against Leesburg for the championship.

Game one between the squads begins at one pm in Alpharetta. The "if necessary" second game is scheduled to start at four pm.
