PERRY, GA -- Deerfield Windsor baseball is just two wins away from the GISA 3A state title, and after game one of the championship series against Westfield- the Knights still need two wins.

Deerfield fell to the Westfield Hornets in Perry on Friday 5-3 in a wild seventh inning for both teams.

Starting pitcher Chris Moates, along with pitching six innings, hit a game-tying homerun in the top of the seventh to notch the score at three.

Westfield rebounded in the bottom of the seventh with the dramatics. A walk-off two run shot off of Rhett Cooper earned the Hornets a victory, and a one game advantage in the best of three championship series.

Game two will start tomorrow at two in Perry, and game three would follow immediately afterward, if necessary.

The Knights are now 0-3 against Westfield in the 2011 season.
