ALBANY, GA -- It was Sophomore Day for Darton College softball. And those sophomores celebrated with two wins.

The Darton College Cavaliers defeated Coastal Georgia 8-0 (5 innings) and 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Of course, pitchers Katy Lewis and Cara Law were top reasons for the Darton victory. Lewis pitched five scoreless innings with 8 strikeouts in game one. Law threw all seven innings of game two giving up an earned run on a double in the first. She finished with 5 strikeouts.

A familiar face to Albany came back with Coastal Georgia today. 2010 Lee County graduate and now Lady Mariner outfielder Ashley Law returned to the area for the first time as a college player. Law went 3 for 5 on the day.
