ALBANY, GA -- The NGA Hooters Golf Tour has camped out at the Stonebridge Golf Course in Albany this week, and Thursday was the day when it finally started counting…for all the wings.

In the first round of the Michelob Ultra Classic, several Albany-natives are clawing their way on to the leader board. Josh Broadaway is closest to the top after 18 holes. Broadaway is tied for 21st after a -4 round. Deerfield-Windsor product Brandon Anthony is one stroke off Broadaway’s pace at -3 in his Thursday morning round.

Darton College’s Roy Steinberg is creeping just along the cut-line shot at -1. Currently, the projected cut is at -2. Jason Flowers had a day to forget shooting +7, and finished day one near the bottom of the board.

Overall, Canadian Stuart Anderson shot a 64, -8. The Alberta-native leads Kyle Ellis, Ryan Blaum and Matt Boyd by one stroke.

Second round of the classic tees off Friday at 7:30 am.
