ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers schedule has gone through some changes. The two-time champions don't often lose on the field, but they have lost an opponent for 2013.

The Professional Indoor Football League announced the Charlotte Speed, an expansion franchise, will not play in the PIFL this season. For 2013, the league has agreed to continue with seven teams and a 12 game schedule.

With the loss of Charlotte, there’s a shake up to the Albany Civic Center’s schedule.

A bye week has replaced the Panthers home game against Charlotte on April 27. Due to the added bye, the Albany Panthers will not play a home game for seven straight weeks from March 23 to May 11.

To complete the 12 game schedule, the regular season has been extended an extra week. The Panthers host Lehigh-Valley June 15 and close out the regular season at home against rival Columbus.
