Crisp Baseball Puts on Show at Lee County

LEESBURG, GA -- Baseball season is back-- bring on the bats and the expectations. The successful high school programs of Crisp County and Lee County started their seasons against each other.

Crisp County traveled to Trojan Field for an abbreviated Greatest Show on Dirt Invitational Thursday. The Cougars put on a show in a 12-7 win over Lee County.

Crisp County capitalized on several second inning errors jumping out to a 9-3 lead. Cougar pitcher Stewart Tyler earned the win for the visiting team.

Due to the incoming weekend thunderstorms, Lee County cancelled the remainder of the tournament. The Trojans host Chiles, Florida on Tuesday. Crisp County welcomes visiting Tift County to Cordele on Tuesday.
