ALBANY, GA -- Most region basketball tournaments were taking the day off Wednesday, but that was not in the plans for Deerfield Windsor. Though, it seems over the span of two months, the Knights have been simply coasting in to the playoffs.

Currently on a fourteen game winning streak, Deerfield hasn't lost a game in 2013.

The Knights clinched the number one seed in the GISA region tournament weeks ago. During the current success, only one Deerfield game has been decided by less than 10 points.

Yea, that's domination and Knights head coach Gordy Gruhl agrees, but the intensity needs more elevation for postseason success.

“Every year there's a team that takes their game to another level when it hits tournament time. We know that we're going to have to do that if we're going to win it. I think we have another gear in us though whether or not we hit it...remains to be seen,” Coach Gruhl said.

Deerfield Windsor and Tiftarea square off at Darton State College in one semfinal match up. The winner moves on to Saturday's championship game at 6:30 PM.
