LEESBURG, GA -- Lee County basketball had its best week in years. Calling off a long losing streak, the Trojans are calling their last few games a welcomed improvement.

The message of a clean start has resonated with the Lee County boy’s team. The Trojans won their first region game since 2007 against Thomas County Central and followed up with a shocking win over Bainbridge Friday.

Going two out of three for the week, first year Trojans head coach Kirven Davis is pushing the focus to the playoffs.

“If you work hard, this is going to happen. If you're dedicated, this is going to happen. They have to see it; we're visual people- they have to see it. To see it and actually feel it these last three or four games has been big,” Coach Davis said.

Currently, Lee County holds third place in the region heading in to a road game Friday. The Trojans face a rematch with Thomas County Central.
