ALBANY, GA -- The Dougherty County Middle School basketball championships tipped off Thursday. After the trophies were handed out, one thing was clear- the cupboard of talent will be full for many years to come.

Dougherty Middle and Southside claimed the 2012-13 middle school titles.

The Dougherty Middle boys defeated Albany Middle 59-34. While the Southside girls prevented the Dougherty Middle sweep with a 49-33 victory.
