A business in downtown Albany was robbed Friday evening.

Police responded to a call from Jimmie's Hot Dogs around 5 pm.

The suspect jumped over the counter and proceeded to take nearly $250.

Tommy Mathes, the owner of Jimmie's Hot Dogs, says he wants to assure customers this was an isolated event and his business is still a safe place.

Mathes also commended the police on a job well done. Within two hours of the robbery the suspect was in custody.
