ALBANY, GA -- In the Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know what is "Dirty Sprite"?
According to Urban Dictionary, it's a mixture of Sprite, Jolly Ranchers, and cough syrup containing Codeine.
People drink this mixture to feel intoxicated, but they may not realize, this concoction could be deadly.
“Narcotics like Codeine are especially dangerous because they can lead to dependency, and respiratory depression and even death,” said pharmacist Ed Dozier.
According to the Albany-Dougherty drug unit, Dirty Sprite has not been a problem in our area, but it's something they're keeping an eye out for.
