ALBANY, GA -- Students from Monroe Comprehensive High School got to learn firsthand what it's like to work in the military during a job-shadowing day at the Marine Corps Logistics Base. 24 students were given the opportunity to learn a variety of jobs within the base from the Criminal Investigation Division to the Public Affairs Office. Students like A'Bria McDonald and Charmane Wilson say it gives them the opportunity to see the difference between pursuing the field in the military branch or civilian life. Military members like Lieutenant Commander Charles Goodson, the officer in charge at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Albany, says it's not only an advantage to students but it's also beneficial for military members to teach and help others, something that they're good at. Wilson says she already wanted to join the United States Air Force after high school, but today's shadowing only solidified her decision that she wants to pursue a career as a military dentist.
