ALBANY, GA --
Community leaders, business owners, and other supporters for the Downtown Albany Post Office turned out to a press conference held by the USPS.

One local business owner asks why would you want to close something that's making money. The United States Postal Service representative says its not closing but a consolidation and add that there are a lot of other issues involved.

County commissioner Jeff Sinyard says our economic development is downtown. He says we are passionate about this post office and he hopes that USPS will fight to keep this post office open.
