ADEL, GA -- There's a region championship on the line in Quitman Friday night. The Cook Hornets see their game with Brooks County as a second chance.

The Hornets have one loss in the region thanks to Fitzgerald. However, with a win against Brooks County, Cook would hold the tiebreakers in the Region 1-AA standings.

There's a lot of attention surrounding the Trojans and their rise up the state rankings. That's fine with the Hornets- they're ready to make a statement on the field.

We've been looking at this game since the summer started…ever since last year when we played them and got beat. We've wanted to play them ever since then and we want to beat them,” Hornets Quarterback Ross Pickle said.

“Take the big play out of their offense basically. They're a big play offense. They've got some big play type guys. If we can shut down the running game and limit the big plays. We'll be in good shape...we'll just have to wait and see Friday,” Hornets Head Coach Ken Cofer said.

Cook will be shorthanded without playmaker K.J. Edwards. The Hornets and Trojans kick off in Quitman Friday at 7:30 PM.
