ALBANY, GA -- Monroe football embarks on a true road test this week in Brooks County.

Perhaps, the largest challenge looming in front of the Tornadoes is the Brooks County Trojan under center. Brooks County quarterback Malcolm Parrish has been everything and more for the Trojans.

The junior QB racked up five total touchdowns throwing for almost 200 yards in a win last Friday against Clinch County. Slowing the Trojans #12 will be a chore, but the Tornadoes are confident in their #12, quarterback Charles Stafford.

“I spoke to the kids yesterday and told them that we're probably playing against one of the best quarterbacks in the state. Another top quarterback in the state is the quarterback on our team. Being able to play and practice against Charles each and everyday...it's real good for our secondary,” Tornadoes head coach Charles Truitt said.

“I'm just ready to get back on the field and show the whole city what I can do...(starting with) my progress from last year...and becoming a winner in this game,” Stafford said.

This is the third of four straight seasons Brooks County and Monroe have met on the football field. The Trojans have won the first two match-ups.
