ALBANY, GA -- According to Deerfield-Windsor Baseball Coach Rod Murray, Lindsey Short is the epitome of team player.

Monday was signing day for the Knights senior. The infielder/pitcher will be using his calming influence at Gordon College next season. Short signed with the Highlanders to continue his baseball career for at least two more years.

Short will be joining long-time friend and Westover Pitcher Robert Daniel at the GCAA-school.

The Highlanders are certainly getting a good one. Short has tremendous bat speed hitting .363 this season with 16 RBI’s. But Short’s passion for baseball is the best aspect of his game.

“It's more important than most things. It's my life I love it. It's what I do 12 months a year,” Short said. “It's a big deal that I get do it in college, and go as far as I can go.”
