ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers and Phoebe Putney Health System announced Tuesday that they have reached an agreement to naming rights of the field at the James H. Gray Civic Center.

The field will be called "Phoebe Field" starting in the spring of 2012 and Phoebe will also become a sponsor of the Albany Youth Indoor Football League along with other benefits

“Having the Phoebe name on the field signifies our good neighbor philosophy,” said Joe Austin, Chief Operating Officer at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in a press release. “The Panthers represent our community here and on the road.  They are an important attraction for those of us who live here and for bringing visitors to our city with good wholesome fun and sports.  We wish them a successful season.”

“This was a great opportunity for the Panthers to create a unique platform with a partner that also has a deep commitment to the Albany community,” said Will Carter, Panthers general manager.  “We hope Phoebe Field continues to give the team an important home field advantage while providing many exciting memories for our fans.”
