ALBANY, GA -- Just like two weeks ago with the Albany Panthers, indoor football champions were crowned at the Albany Civic Center on Saturday.

Except, these guys are just a little smaller in stature at Albany’s first annual Youth Indoor Football Championships. The inaugural season of youth indoor football supported three different leagues divided by age groups.

Quite the finish in the nine and ten year olds between the Speed and Force, the Force trailed 18-16 with only seconds on the clock near the Speed end zone. As time expires, the Force scored the game-winning touchdown, but it’s called back by illegal defense and offense offsetting the play. On the final play, the Force couldn’t find the goal line, and the Speed win the 9/10 championship 18-16.

The Hammers win the 6 to 8 age group championship by a forfeit. The Lions made quick work of the Steel 44-0 for the 11/12 year old championship.
