Saturday, December 22, 2012  Updated with video; On Friday, the Westover Patriots continued their high-flying act and the Monroe Tornadoes dominated Dougherty setting up a rivalry rematch in the U-Save It Tournament Championship.

Thursday, April 19, 2012  During his four seasons at Monroe High School, Tornado Rantavious Gilbert has grown in to a mountain of a basketball player. Now, the 6”8 center is heading amongst the mountains to play college ball.

Sunday, February 19, 2012  All the region championships have been claimed. Now at each classification, only thirty two basketball teams are still alive. All with their sights set on a five game winning streak and a state title.

Saturday, January 21, 2012  The Albany basketball teams escaped with two wins against Mitchell County Saturday night.

Thursday, January 19, 2012  The local boys basketball tournament, the U-Save It Classic, didn't end up saving the teams any money. The GHSA fined eight high schools for participating in the unsanctioned event.

Friday, January 06, 2012  Albany and Monroe weren't clicking on the offensive end, but both teams did enough for a Friday win at the Albany Civic Center.
