Logs cause traffic mess after accident in Lee County

Lee County Sheriff's Office officials say that they have finished cleanup of the accident.
Initial Story (3/13/13)
Officials with the Lee County Sheriff's Office say that things are a mess after a semi-trailer hauling logs turned over Wednesday afternoon.
Deputy Chief Lewis Harris says that the
accident
occurred on Highway 118 East and Smithville Road North and that the scene is a mess with logs everywhere.
Cleanup is ongoing and will be estimated to take at least one to two hours according to officials.
Harris said that the driver of the log truck, 54-year-old Tyre Minick Junior of Richland, has been taken to a local hospital for minor injuries including a laceration to the head.
For detour routes, Harris says that is you are coming in westbound from Leslie to switch over to Georgia 377 and if you are coming in eastbound on 118, you will be detoured at Smithville Road North.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
