LEESBURG, GA --
The Travis Manion Foundation held an assembly at Lee County Middle School Thursday morning.

This foundation is hosting the 9/11 Heroes Run this upcoming Saturday and is stopped by the to talk about their program, "Character Does Matter."

Service member stories are shared to help inspire students to do something for his/her community. The Travis Manion Foundation wants the community to "get out and give back" suggesting that students volunteer at the race in recognition and remembrance of the nation's heroes.

"The 9/11 heroes run is in a lot of ways our culminating event, that is an easy opportunity for the whole community to come out and get engaged, and participate in a memorial," said James Brobyn, the Executive Director of the Travis Manion Foundation.
