Shirley Sherrod speaks at Black History luncheon in Albany

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Area Chapter of Blacks in Government hosted their 19th annual Black History luncheon at
Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany
on Tuesday.
The event was open to members of the base and the surrounding community with a turnout of about 160.
The focus was to celebrate 150th anniversary of emancipation proclamation and the 50th anniversary of MLK walking on Washington.
The speaker of the day was Shirley Sherrod.
