ALBANY, GA -- If you're travelling in Downtown Albany Wednesday and Thursday, you might want to avoid
Broad Avenue.
Assistant City Manager Wes Smith has announced that the section of Broad Street in front of Riverfront Barbeque will be closed.
The reason for the road closure is due to the Broad Avenue bridge contractor is pulling the main water pipe underneath the river.
Smith encourages people to keep this in mind when making lunch plans.
