Southwest Georgia and Albany unemployment numbers decline in September

ATLANTA, GA -- The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday morning that the
unemployment
rate for Southwest Georgia and Albany fell during September.
GDOL says that Southwest Georgia's rate dropped to 9 percent in September, down from 9.4 percent in August. Albany's unemployment rate dropped from 9.9 in August to 9.4 for September.
Metro Albany saw an increase of 200 jobs over August to 60,000.
