ALBANY, GA -- The
Chamber of Commerce
is getting ready for the upcoming legislative session.
Deborah Bowie with the
chamber
tells us some of the talking points will include jobs and transportation.
With the failed TSPLOST, local lawmakers are trying to find ways to fund road projects. Meanwhile, the widening of Highway 133 is still a major priority.
Also, the chamber is showing a united front, partnering with the city of Albany and Dougherty County commissions in the fight against sequestration which would cut military spending by 20% across the board.
