BAKER COUNTY, GA -- Judge Loring Gray has ordered a new election for Baker County Sheriff after an early October trial.
Challenger Tim Williamson filed a lawsuit against Dana Meade and the Baker County Board of Elections after the primary election in July.
In the order filed in the Superior Court of Baker County, Judge Gray brings cites testimony from various citizens about payments made for votes in the form of ciggarettes, cash, and alcohol for voting, issues with helping voters at the poll with no familial relation, and absentee ballot issues that led him to declare a new election.
With enough irregularities in the election, Judge Gray has ordered a new election for Sheriff be held on November 6th.
