Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is honoring 41 of its employees who are known to go above and beyond when duty calls.

Those who received Caring Hands awards during the course of the year were treated to a night of music and food.

The Annual Caring Hands Banquet was held Monday night to recognize those whose work performance is extraordinary.

Out of the 41 employees awarded, eight received special recognition for their efforts.

Caring Hands recipients are employees from the entire Phoebe health system throughout southwest Georgia.

“We like to make a big celebration every year and make sure the people that are being recognized truly know we think that they are the best of the best,” says Joel Wernick, President and CEO of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Each award recipient left with a framed certificate and a Caring Hands pin.
