Worth County cold case reopened; body exhumed

Last week the Worth County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of investigations exhumed the body of a man found in the woods near Highway 300 on September 6th, 1988.

A 24-year-old homicide cold case was reopened on Friday according to Worthit2u.net.
Last week the Worth County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of investigations exhumed the body of a man found in the woods near Highway 300 on September 6th, 1988.
A farmer allegedly spotted the dismembered body that remains unidentified to this date.
Sheriff Freddie Tompkins told Worthit2u.net they’re hoping advances made in DNA testing will help to identify the man which could possibly lead to his killer.
