ALBANY, GA --
U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., demanded further explanation from Attorney General Eric Holder Wednesday morning on the recent increase in politically motivated SWAT-ting attacks, after receiving a mere cursory response from the Justice Department on June 29 according to a press release issued by his office.

While Chambliss received confirmation from Holder that the attorney general would give attention to this matter, Holder’s office failed to address Chambliss’ inquiry regarding a federal response to this disturbing trend.

The original letter and response from Holder’s office can be found here.

“Instead of addressing this dangerous trend of SWAT-ting, Attorney General Holder and the Justice Department have chosen to continue their unresponsiveness to congressional inquiries. I urge the attorney general to take this second opportunity to address this troubling practice,” said Chambliss.
