An Albany man was injured by gunfire early Monday morning after answering his door.

ALBANY, GA -- An Albany man was shot after answering his door early Monday morning.
Albany police
say that the shooter knocked on the door of 610 Burke Street in Albany around 2:30 AM Monday. When 30-year-old Corey Jackson answered the door, the suspect made demands and fired a shot at the victim after Jackson attempted to shut the front door.
The man was hit in the left arm and
police
say they believe the weapon used may have been a shotgun. Jackson was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
