TIFT COUNTY, GA --

A shooting in Tift County leaves one man dead and another behind bars.

According to the Tift County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Devin Pickett was reported shot around 6:30 PM Monday evening at 3121 South Central Avenue. Pickett later died at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Investigators say 23-year-old Earnest Antonio Jackson, Jr of Tifton turned himself in to deputies at the Tift County Sheriff’s Office after warrants had been issued for his arrest in the shooting death last night of 18 year old Devin Pickett.
