ALBANY, GA. -- Now that Dougherty County is answering calls from Hollywood, other counties around Georgia are getting in on the action.

Governor Nathan Deal has deemed 23 extra counties as "camera ready,” meaning each area has a liaison set up to assist film production. That means 112 of Georgia’s 159 counties are eligible for Hollywood action.

Films set to use the Georgia backdrop include wanderlust and the remake of Footloose.

“Albany has great scenery we keep the historic look like certain areas,” said Albany Welcome Center Manager Rashelle Beasley.

Last year, a total of 327 productions were filmed in Georgia.
