Strategic planning focus meetings being hosted by ASU

ALBANY, GA -- During the week of September 12-16 Albany State University will host a series of meetings with students, faculty, staff, alumni and community leaders to begin establishing strategic goals for 2012-2016.

These focus group meetings are part of the University’s process of envisioning the future and articulating how ASU plans to serve its students and other stakeholders based upon current trends, projections and other influences. Overall goals of the process are to continue the institution’s drive to the forefront of higher education in Georgia, the nation and the world.

We invite you to become a part of the process of plotting the course of the University from 2012 to 2016. Upcoming focus group meetings are scheduled as follows:

Faculty Forums:
9 a.m. Sept. 13 – ASU Faculty, ACAD room 172
3:30 p.m. Sept. 14 – ASU Faculty, Hartnett Hall room 111

Staff Forums:
3:30 p.m. Sept. 13 – ASU Staff, James Pendergrast Library (JPL) room 114
9 a.m. Sept. 14 ASU Staff, L. Orene Hall Building

ASU Student Forums:
7 p.m. Sept. 12 – ASU Students, ACAD room 187
7 p.m. Sept. 14 – ASU Students, ACAD room 141

Community Leaders:

Special Forum for High School Students:

Building upon the successful accomplishments of its previous five-year strategic plan, ASU aims to involve stakeholders from throughout our service area both on and off campus in addressing the principal opportunities for serving Southwest Georgia over the next five years.
