The Albany State University Department of Natural Sciences will present guest speaker Dr. Abiodun Ogunjimi, Ph.D., at noon Tuesday, Sept. 6, in ACAD Room 141. A structural biologist and biochemist at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada, Ogunjimi will discuss “Smad7 and Smurf2 E3 Ub Ligase are Co-operative Partners in Regulating TGF-beta Signaling.”

The Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital is one of the world’s leading centers in biomedical research. Its researchers are experts in systems biology, women’s and infants’ health, cancer biology, stem cell biology, neurobiology, diabetes, arthritis and genetic disorder research.
