DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- Public hearings wrapped up Thursday and now citizens await for a committee of three Dougherty County Commissioners and three Dougherty County School Board members to discuss the opinions.

Citizens discussed at-large positions for the Dougherty County Commission and School Board during the last two public hearings about redistricting.

The County Commission and School System are redrawing county political districts together after new Census numbers were analyzed.

Planning and Development officials say there were no overwhelming complaints about the proposed new district lines.

"I think it's going to move ahead. If there are any changes, my opinion is it will just be minor tweaks to the plans that have been presented," says Randy Weathersby with Planning and Development Services

The committee of commissioners and school board members will discuss the proposed new lines on Thursday and decide how to move forward.
