Dougherty County commission approves 2011-2012 budget

DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- The Dougherty County commission approved the $75 million dollar 2011-2012 budget during their meeting Wednesday.

Despite the issues, several bright spots have appeared in the budget for county workers and taxpayers. There will be no unpaid holidays for county workers and taxpayers won't see an increase in the millage rate or property taxes.
