Six people have been taken in for questioning this evening after a drug bust at a home in East Albany
ALBANY, GA -- Six people have been taken in for questioning this evening after a drug bust at a home in East Albany.
Drug enforcement officers served a warrant on the house at 207-C Carroll Street after several complaints from neighbors and the city commission office.
Officers say large amounts of marijuana was being smoked and sold out of the house, all around the presence of children.
“Four small children. So we have called DFCS so they are proceeding on with their investigation on this as we will transport these people downtown and determined who is involved and who is not and what charges and go from there,” said Maj. Bill Berry of the Albany Dougherty Drug Unit.
A 9mm handgun and ammo was also taken from the house. Officers have not yet released the names of the suspects involved.
