ALBANY, GA. -- Forgotten food on the stove looks like the cause of another Albany fire.              

Albany firefighters responded to reports of a kitchen fire at a home on Harmon Avenue around 12:30 this afternoon.

The homeowner was able to extinguish the fire with his garden hose.

The fire department is urging everyone to carry another item from the kitchen as a reminder if you have to leave while cooking.

Or – better yet – do not leave the kitchen at all.
