All proceeds from event go towards Southwest Georgia Children's Miracle Network, children at Phoebe Putney

ALBANY, GA -- Runners braved the cold Saturday morning to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. The 23rd annual Jingle Bell Jog consisted of a 5K and 10K run along with a one mile fun walk.

Last year, the Jingle Bell Jog raised $30,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network.

“One-hundred percent of the funds are staying here in Southwest Georgia to help fund specialized equipment for sick and injured children that are treated at Phoebe Putney. It also goes toward education – educating the staff and enhancing the education of the staff so we can provide the best care possible,” says Amanda Smith, Southwest Georgia Coordinator for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Nearly 900 runners pre-registered for the event, and Smith says more registers the day of the jog.
