ALBANY, GA -- A former University of Georgia quarterback was arrested over the weekend for allegedly attacking his girlfriend.

33-year-old Quincy Carter faces charges of battery, driving with an expired tag, and driving with a suspended license.

35-year-old Egan Jacobs told Gwinnett County police that Carter was drunk when he showed up at her apartment on October 6^th.

She says Carter hit and choked her.

Carter was drafted out of UGA by the Dallas Cowboys and also spent time with the New York Jets.
