Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson flew into Albany to do some business back home
ALBANY, GA -- Georgia's senators made a stop in Albany Tuesday. Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson flew into Albany to do some business back home.
Both senators talked about several issues, including the expansion of the Port of Savannah. “By 2014 you’re going to have the Panama Canal completion done, where it'll be both deeper and wider. And we've got to be able to take the 21st century cargo ships in the Port of Savannah. It's big for agriculture but it's big for all of our state in terms of exports and imports,” says Isakson.
The Senate session starts back September 13th.
