ALBANY, GA -- It’s a question that has remained unanswered for ages- which came first, the chicken or the egg? But now, there may be an answer. British university scientists say they’ve unraveled the mystery of which came first… and it’s the chicken. Evidently a protein found only in a chicken’s ovaries is needed to form the egg. And while scientists say it’s a breakthrough, not everyone thinks it’s a big deal.

Albany resident Zavier Booker says it makes sense the chicken would come first. “I would have to say it would be the chicken. It takes a chicken to lay an egg, so you’ve got to have a chicken first” says Booker.

When it comes to which came first the chicken or the egg, residents say they don’t care. Either way, they love them both.
