They raised thousands for a local child abuse and rape trauma center in Albany

92 men were out strutting their stuff for a good cause Saturday morning.

They donned red high heels and walked a mile to benefit the Lily Pad S.A.N.E. Center, a rape trauma and child abuse center here in Albany. You've heard the old saying, "you don't know where someone has been until you've walked a mile in their shoes" and men got a chance to do that Saturday. Almost one hundred men gathered at Deerfield-Windsor to walk, skip, and sprint for the ladies. The Walk-A-Mile in her shoes campaign originated in California, but has found a new home here in Georgia. This is for a serious cause, but a silly way to help bring awareness to our community.

The Walk-A-Mile in her shoes campaign is a national event and will return to Albany in the future.
