Forty teams from across South Georgia participated in the competition which challenged middle and high school students to construct a model bridge that could withstand a heavy amount of weight.

Many of the students FOX 31 News spoke with say they aspire to become engineers.

Bridges are judged on construction, and the amount of weight it can hold before breaking.
